Turn Thought into Action Even on a Budget
Not having a large advertising/marketing budget shouldn’t stop you from launching your business. Besides “Budget” is relative, a small budget for some can be $10,000 for others it’s $250.
When you need immediate results to bring in sales it can leave you paralyzed to make decisions, fearful you will make the wrong one. A small budget is very intimidating even for seasoned marketers, but that won’t stop you. Right!?!
Launch Your Business
Small budgets just mean you need to do your research.
You need to know everything you can about your ideal customer. It’s important you research and listen to potential customers. If you are crystal clear on who you serve you can almost guarantee your small budget will carry you to a small victory
Next, it’s time to decide where you can reach the most customers with your budget. Ideally, you would spread your advertising dollars in several viable mediums. However, if you are working with less than $1000.00 it’s best to pick just one or two mediums that reach that largest portions of your customers.
Choose your words wisely and be specific. Small budgets mean laser focus. Ads should Never be general but this is especially important when you have a limited budget. Your advertisement needs to speak to a specific person with a specific problem. Don’t make the biggest advertising faux pas and run ads that appeal to everyone!
Be prepared to collect at least an email address from potential customers. Not everyone will be ready to purchase immediately, so it’s your job to be prepared to collect information so you can start building a relationship so you can start filling up your sales pipeline.
It’s rare to have a highly targeted successful marketing campaign on your first try. So don’t set yourself up for failure imagining that you will run a few ads and will have $10,000 in sales the next day. You need to be realistic with your expectations. If you are launching a new company your first ads might only be promoting a blog you post you wrote or asking people to join your free FB Group.
Launching a business obviously isn’t easy. And making mistakes is just part of the learning curve. If you know you have a valid business that has the potential to be profitable don’t let limited funds prevent you from trying.
